Telomere length (average of each sample) in relation to the covariates Age (days), mass (g) and Hatch Order (1,2,3) and the factors Sex (Male) (male and female) and Treatment (Control or Vitamins; note that day 1 measurements are coded as control for all nestlings). Factors in the final model have been highlighted in bold. Significant factors (p < 0.05) have an *. Random terms are included in all models, and their values are in italic. Non-significant interactions were excluded from the models when estimating coefficients of main effects.
