Squared Pearson correlation between pairwise distances in PCO space and in an original distance matrix, for increasing numbers of PCO axes, using Generalised Euclidean (GED), Gower Coefficient (GOW) and Maximum Observable Rescaled (MAX) distances. A. Without negative eigenvalue correction during PCO. B. With negative eigenvalue correction during PCO. Calculations were performed on the cladistic matrix of Moon [27].
