Figure S1: Operating range of the slow and fast muscle fibres within the medial gastrocnemius (MG) and soleus (SO) muscles on the force-velocity relationship across the eight pedalling conditions. The range of fibre velocities corresponds to the peak lengthening and shortening velocities at each condition. Negative and positive velocities represent lengthening and shortening, respectively. Fibre velocity is normalised to maximum contraction velocity of the slow and fast fibres of 5 and 10 s-1, respectively.
