Figure S2: Residual shape component common allometric component based on log-transformed standardized age (A-B) and regression score (C-D) against standardized age. Standardized age refers to total age (gestational plus postnatal age) divided by approximate age of maturity for each taxon. Residual shape component against standardized age for (A) chickens and ratites, and (B just ratites. Regression score against standardized age for (C) chickens and ratites, and (D) just ratites. Colors are identical to those in the main text. Orange: Gallus gallus. Yellow: Struthio camelus. Blue: Dromaius novaehollandiae. Green: Casuarius casuarius.
