This file contains: (i) an analytical solution to Eqs (2.12)-(2.14) from the main text, (ii) additional data on the variations of r with We and film thickness, (iii) successive snapshots of a drop detaching from a stalactite, (iv) drop size, velocity and impact point deflection measurements for filmed stalagmites, (v) stalagmite width measurements for all stalagmites, and (vi) pictures of filmed stalagmites.
