Statistical analysis of the isotope data illustrated in Figure 6. A discriminant analysis run using PAST statistical software28 classifies the archaeological and modern isotope data (carbon and nitrogen isotopes from bone collagen) into two distinct groups. The discriminant value refers to the minimal Mahalanobis distance to the group mean.
