Morphology of a flo11 (Flo11-) mutant compared to wild type Sigma1278b, sfl1 (Flo11+) and flo8 (Flo11-). Inoculations were made with 500 cells in the center of semisolid complex medium plates (9 cm diameter, 0.3% agar, YPD), which were grown for seven days at room temperature. Morphology and size of flo11 and flo8 colonies were similar.
