Figure S1. Comprehensive phylogenetic tree of Euglenozoa based on SSU rDNA, showing SAG D1 (in red) as sister to known kinetoplastids. This is the same phylogeny as Figure 1, but with all sequences within Diplonemea and Euglenida shown (symbiontid sequences here treated as within Euglenida). Estimated under Maximum Likelihood model GTR+Γ, bootstrap support values for each node are listed first, posterior probabilities from Bayesian analysis second. Values lower than 50% and 0.9 PP are not shown, while fully supported nodes (100% / 1 PP) are denoted by a black circle.
